The vision was inspired by Matthew 25:35-40 – “For I am hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in. I needed clothes, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you as a stranger and invite you in, or needed clothes and clothed you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? The King will reply, “Truly, I tell you, whenever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

Our Response to Aspects of Life:

Basic Needs

We understand that this aspect, if not properly dealt with, can affect other significant areas of one's life. At every of our outreach, our first major focus is on providing Food, Cloth and Shelter, as this is very paramount in every individual's life, with all these in place, every other things will easily find stability.

Discourse

This aspect deals with interaction with the people of the community we are reaching out and rendering help to. We focus on subject matter that has to do with health, career, morals, and so on. The idea of this is to help those in that community appreciate the need to be well mentally, and physically and be informed of the things around them.

Love of God

This is the most important aspect for us at The Leadreach; to inform them about the Love God has for all humanity, regardless of their condition or level, and to give them hope that God hasn’t forsaken them and that He can change their lives if they open up their hearts and surrender to Him. The essence of our reaching out is that God has shown us His love and instructed us to express to them the love we have experienced and that they can also do the same if they accept God’s love into their hearts

The Leadreach creates a platform for different categories of people to be a blessing to the needy, either with money, gifts items, volunteering to join the outreach team, and supporting special projects.

My first outreach with Leadreach was a truly fulfilling experience at a Juvenile orphanage. Spending time with the children, engaging in worship, and offering words of encouragement through the scripture was incredibly rewarding and it brought me and the kids immense joy.

Another impactful experience was our visit to Bethesda Home for the Blind. We immersed ourselves in
their daily lives for a few hours, sharing God’s love through praise, worship, and scripture. These experiences have solidified my belief in Leadreach’s boundless potential. We are committed to spreading God’s love far and wide, empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Ikoyi Prison Visit: I sensed the hopelessness in the air as we entered the prison. Our team brought a glimmer of light to the inmates’ eyes as we shared stories, laughter, and tears. We distributed essential items and listened to their heart-wrenching stories. The sight of so many inmates awaiting trial for years broke my heart, but our visit renewed hope and dignity. Faces once filled with despair now radiated with renewed life and promise.

Old People’s Home: As we entered the home, I was met with a mix of curiosity and skepticism. Our warmth and genuine interest quickly melted the initial reserve. We sang, prayed, and shared stories. The elderly residents opened up about their lives, struggles, and triumphs. Our presence kindled a sense of belonging and worth. We witnessed the spark of hope rekindled, and the room transformed into a haven of love, laughter, and connection. Our visit left an indelible mark on their hearts – and mine.
